Friends of Upper Wharfedale School
A WARM WELCOME TO UPPER WHARFEDALE SCHOOL FROM THE FRIENDS COMMITTEE
Our aim is to help the school to provide extra equipment and resources, which the school budget will often not stretch to, in order to enhance our children's education.
The activities and events which we organise help to improve links between parents/carers, children and the school staff and encourage a team spirit to work towards a common goal.
As Upper Wharfedale School is a small school, we feel we need an "all hands on deck" approach to help our children receive the best education possible, and the Committee is well supported by staff and parents alike.
Not all events are purely fundraiser. The children's discos, coffee mornings and open events are also run to provide an opportunity for parents/carers to gain an insight into school life.
The friends of Upper Wharfedale School are very supported by the local community. Local shops and businesses are very generous in their donations of raffle prizes and always willing to help with promotion of our fundraising events.
